About my Art and Me
Life is an ongoing flirtation with death, ending in consumption
Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by the traditional understanding of relationships and the unrelenting paradoxical divergence of the human mind.
My work has a strong focus on transience, female sexuality, relationships and primal emotions.
As subtle forms become transformed through diligent and personal practice, the viewer is left with a testament to the limits of our physical body and limitlessness of the metaphysical world of our spirits.
In my paintings and drawings, I am researching femininity in all its facets. Fugaciousness and mortality is something I do not express by showing an aging process, but I reference to it with the Skeletons and other symbols which appear in a lot of my drawings and paintings. I am working throughout an inner need to express instinctive desires or emotions. The immortality of the soul manifests itself in my work, as aspects of nature, demons or goddesses which are reappearing throughout my work.
My photographs on the other hand have to be just like I experience life itself. Often bewildering, mostly rough and within this roughness, sometimes as pure beauty.
LIFE
Born on 22nd of december 1985 in Alfeld / Leine, Germany
I moved to the Netherlands in 2004 where I worked in different jobs to finance my studies, finished my apprenticeship to become a tattoo artist and studied fine arts from 2006 – 2010.
Since then I exhibited my work in different countries in Europe as well as in NYC and LA in the US.
In 2012 I moved to Berlin Germany, where I since life and create from the colorful multicultural district Neukölln.

Groups exhibition with other students from the minor drawing. I worked alone and in cooperation with my classmate Saskia Teiken. Together we made the series: ‘search for revolution’ and a wall painting in the entrance hall at RC de ruimte.

- October 2010 : established an atelier-complex in Utrecht with 6 other young artists and 6 creatives from other disciplines (graphic design, design and decor, web-design, ceramics)
- 2009 atelier visits and interview series with Ronald Ophuis in Amsterdam
- 2009 Performed a short version of the ‘Orgien Mysterien Theater’ with Hermann Nitsch at the Incubate festival in Tilburg NL
